$850,000 for re-injury of neck in a car accident

A woman was driving her vehicle when it was struck by a panel van. The woman had previously undergone surgery to her neck with removal of a disc and insertion of a metal plate due to an earlier accident. This accident reinjured the woman’s neck and she had to have additional surgery. Even though at the time of this accident the woman’s neck was previously injured and compromised and therefore we could not claim that the injury and need for additional surgery was entirely from this new accident we were able to obtain $850,000 in a settlement for the client.
