$750,000 for fall from scaffold while painting a house

A man was standing on a wooden scaffold which he had constructed, and he was painting the side of a house. While the man was standing on the scaffold, the planks separated, causing him to fall between the planks to the ground 20 feet below. He injured his neck and underwent surge1y with insertion of a plate and screws. Even though the client was the one who put the scaffold together in a dangerous and unsafe condition, we were able to convince the insurance company to settle the case for $750,000.
