$500,000 for woman who slipped and fell on wet school floor

When a woman stepped out of the elevator on the second floor of a City school she slipped and
fell because there was water on the floor. She tore cartilage in her knee and underwent knee
surgery. The woman did see the water on the floor 2 hours before she feil which showed that the
water had been there for a while before the accident happened. The City had rented out all the
floors in the building to other companies. We claimed and were able to establish that the City
remained responsible for inspecting, cleaning and maintaining the floors in the building. After
hard fought extensive litigation against the City of New York over four years, the case settled.
